Weather Updates:
Flood warnings continue in Eastern Texas and along the Mississippi River Valley in Louisiana and Minnesota. Flooding may cause pickup and delivery delays due to road closures and limited routes around afflicted areas.
Wildfires are hitting multiple areas from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific coast. Market impact is minimal now; however, these active fires are growing and could affect transit times in and out of areas burned or at risk.
LTL Updates:
Saia opened a new larger and renovated terminal in Laredo, TX. The new terminal is one of the two gateway terminals to Mexico offering cross-border pool distribution, onsite warehousing, and truckload through and exclusive partnership with Fletes Mexico.
A. Duie Pyle expanded for the second time this year with a new facility in New York City. The new location adds 77 LTL service doors.
Averitt Express is expanding its 17,000-square-foot, 38 door distribution and fulfillment center in San Antonio with the addition of an 85,000-square-foot warehouse, and 42 more doors
